At the Park – Day 4

Nothing major to report today.  It was pretty much a rest and relaxation day.

I took the canopy framework and dropped it off at the property just outside the shed and grabbed a ladder so I can inspect the roof for damage – which I haven’t bothered to do yet.

I verified once more that the laptop and internet are in working order so I can start work in the morning without issue.

I left notes on my neighbor’s gates introducing myself.

I had not one but two social engagements with Tom from DD Gamble Guest Lodge and Ranch.  He and his wife Alicia are really nice.  First visit he showed me around his ranch including two pregnant mares – one full size and one mini.  The second visit he let me use his PC, printer/scanner to tend to some real estate business back in Michigan.  He then shared some of his highland scotch with me while we visited for a while longer.  Just as I was about to excuse myself so he could tend to his business, Alicia came in from doing chores and said the mini had given birth.  So we hurried out to check on mom and baby.  Both were doing well.

I’m thankful that once again I lucked out and have great neighbors.
